Today First English Lutheran Church, 1243 N. 31st St.: The Men's Group has organized a spring clean-up and fix-up at the church. Come to the church at 9 a.m. and bring your tools.
Atonement Lutheran Church, 407 Wicks Lane: Atonement kids in the fourth-sixth grades (and friends) are invited to Fellowship Hall at 3 p.m. for games, fun and a Mother's Day surprise. For information, call 254-7004.
Peace Lutheran Church, 1301 Ave. D: Donations of cash and nonperishable food are collected to commemorate Fight World Hunger Weekend.
Central Christian Church, 1221 16th St. W.: The annual spring clean-up of the church building and grounds begins at 8 a.m.
Sunday Trinity Baptist Church, 537 Grand Ave.: A Mothers' Day "Shower of Love" is held each year to benefit Billings Birthright Pregnancy Center. To participate, bring a clothing item or cash donation to the table in the narthex.
First English Lutheran Church, 1243 N. 31st St.: A Mother's Day Pie Social follows the 10 a.m. worship. At 4:30 p.m., Arle Lohof presents an organ recital on the church's beautiful Zimmer pipe organ. Included are works by Langlais, Franck and J. S. Bach. A free-will offering will be taken to help offset costs of recent organ repairs.
American Lutheran Church, 5 Lewis Ave.: Marie Schollaert and Larissa Nelson sing a duet during the offertory at the 8:30 and 11 a.m. services. The class of 2003 is honored with the blessing of quilts. Students Robby Knutson, Annika Tostengard, Lauren Erickson, Jill Whitbeck, Rachel Dietrich, Kendra Hertz, Jacinta Sutphin and Carissa Byrd present "Praise for Parents" at 9:45 a.m. This is a short program of music and readings in fellowship hall.
Hope United Methodist Church, 244 Wicks Lane: The three youth choirs provide special music for Mother's Day during the 10:30 a.m. service.
Mayflower Congregational Church, 2940 Poly Drive: For Youth Sunday, at 10:45 a.m., Youth Director Dixie Green, with the help of 2 year olds through kindergarten classes, will give the sermon "The Loving Lambs." Worship is lead by the third- through sixth-grades. The "Fun and Games" Chancel time is led by seventh- and eighth-grades. Special music is provided by the Junior Choir and members of the Sunday School class.
First Congregational United Church of Christ, 310 N. 27th St.: The youth host "Muffins for Mom" from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. During the 11 a.m. service, the Melody Choir sings a tribute to mothers called "Love Is." There is also a dramatization by Bess Fredlund for the Capital Campaign.

Wednesday Atonement Lutheran Church, 407 Wicks Lane: Exchange students from Skyview High School are the featured guests at the Friendship Club meeting at 11:30 a.m.
Central Christian Church, 1221 16th St. W.: The Christian Women's Fellowship's annual spring salad luncheon is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Tickets are $6. Everyone is welcome.
First Congregational United Church of Christ, 310 N. 27th St.: The Women's Evening Group gathers at 6:30 p.m. to share fellowship and gifts around dinner at Don Luis.
Peace Lutheran Church, 1301 Ave. D: Peace Lutheran women host a bake sale from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Home. Proceeds benefit the chaplaincy funds at St. John's Ministries.
Central Christian Church, 1221 16th St. W.: All residents of Westpark Village are welcome to a service of communion at 3 p.m. at Westpark Village.
Friday Trinity Lutheran Church, 537 Grand Ave.: The Lutheran Laymen's League will meet at 7 p.m. Pastor Haugen leads the Bible study, "A Christian's Call to God for References."
Hope United Methodist Church, 244 Wicks Lane: The United Methodist Youth Fellowship begins a lock-in retreat at 6 p.m.
Other News Billings Aglow: The spring brunch is from 9 to 11 a.m. May 17 at The Perfect Place in Briarwood. The program features Sandra Jones of Roundup as guest speaker; drama presentations by C.L.A.Y., the youth drama group from Billings' New Life Church; and special music by Peggy Sharbono of Billings.
