"Hands, Hearts and Hope" is the children’s bereavement program offered by Rocky Mountain Hospice in Billings. This 7-week program was designed by Rocky Mountain Hospice social worker Laurie Townsend to specifically meet the bereavement needs of children ages 7-12. The program has a creative component to it, and under Townsend’s supervision, kids will be able to safely navigate the feelings and emotions of their loss in a safe and nurturing environment.
The most recent "Hands, Hearts and Hope" group began Sept. 11 at the Rocky Mountain Hospice office at 2110 Overland Ave., Suite 111. The group will meet every Tuesday evening through October 23 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The class is offered free of charge to children in the community, regardless of any past or present affiliation with Rocky Mountain Hospice. All needed supplies for the class are provided.
