The Northwest Research & Education Institute has started enrollment on two new research studies for coronary heart disease (CHD) and chronic dialysis.

Principal investigator Joseph Apostol, MD, will be working with study coordinator Penny Jensen-Haynes, RN, researching the effect an investigational drug used to raise HDL-C in adults with CHD. CHD is a major contributor to mortality, affecting individuals of all ethnic and sociological backgrounds.
