RiverStone Health’s Montana Cancer Screening Program, in collaboration with community partners, will host a free American Indian women’s health conference from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on May 16.
The conference will be followed by a Pink Ribbon Bingo night from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event is for local American Indian women. The bingo event is limited to women 18 and older.
The goal is to provide education about women's health issues and resources to help pay for cancer screenings. The event features presentations on healthy eating, diabetes, fitness, cancer prevention and early detection, and healthy lifestyles.
Blood-pressure and blood-sugar testing will be available during the health conference. Health topics include breast and cervical health, diabetes, cancer, healthy eating and lifestyle choices.
This free event provides an opportunity for women to socialize, win prizes, and learn how to make a difference in their own health. The evening includes refreshments and dinner. For further information and to register for the event, contact Patricia Udelhoven at 237-3633.
