Registration is open for the 2013 Montana Women’s Run, which will be held May 11.
The annual event, which includes a 2-mile and 5-mile run, is expected to draw more than 9,000 participants.
The 5-mile race will start at 8 a.m. followed by the 2-mile race at 9 a.m. This time difference helps decrease congestion along the course.
The Kick-Off Dinner, formerly known as Pasta Night, and Women’s Health Expo will be May 10 at the Billings Food Bank, 2112 Fourth Ave. N. The speaker will be Flora Wong, author of "Long Way Home: Journeys of a Chinese Montanan" and decorated athlete. The evening is for runners, walkers and volunteers to enjoy the Health Expo, a pasta dinner, and an inspirational guest speaker. The Health Expo features interactive exhibits and presentations where women can learn more about fitness, nutrition and better health.
Getting Started Clinics will be held Monday evenings beginning March 18 to help participants get in shape with instructor-led exercise and stretching techniques. These clinics are free and will be held at the Rocky Mountain College outdoor track and the Lockwood School track.
