St. Vincent Healthcare has announced the appointment of Scott Sears, MD, FACP, as the hospital's new Chief Medical Officer of St. Vincent Healthcare's employed physician group, Medical Practices Division.
In this role, Sears works to further patient care quality and excellence and provides leadership to physicians and other clinical providers. Sears works with the St. Vincent Healthcare Medical Staff to identify, implement, and monitor systems which support accreditation, quality of care, medical staff governance, quality assurance, risk management and peer review.
Sears maintains a faculty appointment at the University of Washington School of Medicine, and received the WWAMI Outstanding Clinical Faculty Award in 2006.
Sears is also adjunct faculty at the Rocky Mountain College Physician Assistant Program, and serves as national faculty for the American College of Physicians Quality Improvement Project.
