JACKSON, Wyo. — The Bridger-Teton National Forest is selling snowmobile permits for 2011.
The permits are available at the ranger stations in Kemmerer, Big Piney, Greys River, Pinedale and Buffalo. They're also available at the Interagency Visitor Center in Jackson.
Permits cost $25 for both resident and nonresident permits. Buyers also have the option of donating $1 to Wyoming Search and Rescue.
The state of Wyoming requires all snowmobile operators to display a registration sticker in order to operate their machines in the state. The requirement covers federal lands administered by the U.S. Forest Service and U.S. Bureau of Land Management.
