Cabela's will celebrate the start of the fly-fishing season by holding seminars and demonstrations April 16-17.
Cabela's pro staff member Brian O'Keefe and local angler Kelly Galloup will cover several topics over the two days. Here's a schedule:
Saturday, April 16: Intro to fly fishing (equipment), 11 a.m.; intro to fly fishing (technique), noon; kids fly casting, 1 p.m.; reading trout water, 2 p.m.; kids fly tying, 2 p.m.; tying patterns for Western waters, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Sunday, April 17: kids fly casting, 11 a.m.; matching the hatch to the catch, noon; kids fly tying, noon; intro to fly fishing (equipment), 1 p.m.; intro to fly fishing (technique), 2 p.m.; hot tips for fly fishing local waters, 3 p.m.; tying patterns for Western waters, noon-4 p.m.
