The kickoff event for Get Outside Montana will be 1-4 p.m. June 2 at the Audubon Conservation Education Center.
Get Outside Montana is a free back-to-nature event open to teams of all ages. Participating families are encouraged to engage in a friendly competition as they explore local recreational areas. Activities will include hiking, biking, swimming, camping, scavenger hunts and geocaching.
Teams must consist of at least one person over the age of 18 and one person under the age of 18. Each week of the competition features several “guided” or “self-guided” events. Each team will receive a passport to track the team's participation.
First prize: The Spoke Shop will outfit a family up to four with brand new bikes and a $100 gift card from Montana Cycling and Ski.
Second prize: A weekend raft/canoe or kayak rental for the family with trailer from Sunshine Sports and a six person North Face tent from The Base Camp.
Third prize: A $250 GPS unit from Cabela’s, and two half-day rafting trips from Absaroka River Adventures.
Also the family who has the most creative scrapbook documenting their competition adventures will win a camping table and camping chairs for four from Sylvan Peak Mountain Shoppe.

If unable to attend, the registration form can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or drop it off at the Audubon Center at 7026 S. Billings Blvd. to receive a passport.
