HELENA — Beaverhead County officials say three hunters were found unconscious in a wall tent at a campground near Lima and were being treated at a Salt Lake City hospital.
A spokeswoman at Barrett Hospital & Healthcare in Dillon says the men were in critical condition when they left the hospital Monday.
Sheriff Jay Hansen says a hunter called at 8:21 a.m. Monday to report that three other members of his hunting party were breathing but unconscious. Hansen says the hunters were two 50-year-old men and a 65-year-old man.
The men were taken by ambulance to Barrett Hospital and a hospital spokeswoman says they were flown to a Level 1 trauma hospital in Salt Lake City for further treatment.
Hospital officials cited federal privacy laws in not saying what was wrong with the men.
