Ryane Viker, 12, of Billings shot her first deer with a .223 rifle at 202 yards during the youth hunt in southeastern Montana. She was hunting with her sisters Patyn and Rylie, as well as her father, Brian.
Devan Birrer, 15, of Bridger shot this 4x4 mule deer on Nov. 18, 2019. He made a 150-yard shot with his .243 Winchester rifle.Â
Jennifer Birrer filled her deer tag near Bridger this hunting season. It was a good year for the hunting family as her twins and son also put meat in the freezer. None of the animals tested positive for chronic wasting disease.
