Try 1 month for $5

A Billings man suspected of distributing child pornography denied federal charges last week.

Keith Lee Kugler, 66, pleaded not guilty in U.S. District Court on Thursday to a three-count indictment charging him with distribution, receipt and possession of child porn. He also faces a forfeiture count.

The indictment alleges Kugler received and distributed the material using a computer from about June 13, 2013, until Oct. 31, 2013.

If convicted, Kugler faces a minimum mandatory five to 20 years in prison on the distribution and receipt counts and a $250,000 fine. Under the forfeiture count, he could lose to the government a laptop computer, a wireless router and 14 computer storage devices, totaling 196 gigabytes of storage, alleged to have been used to commit the crimes.
