Two 42-year-old Billings men were taken to the hospital early Sunday after they were assaulted in their South Side home, police said.
Billings Police Sgt. Shawn Finnegan said the victims told police they were assaulted by a group of men who entered their home at 318 S. 31st St. without permission.
One of the victims was stabbed in the abdomen, Finnegan said.
The other had a cut on his arm. Both were taken to St. Vincent Healthcare for treatment.
Finnegan said the suspects, who also allegedly discharged a firearm into the kitchen ceiling, fled before police arrived.
The incident, which is under investigation, was reported at about 6:15 a.m.
