Billings police are investigating a stabbing early Sunday that sent a woman to a hospital.
Police Sgt. Pat Curry said the incident below the Rimrocks in the 600 block of North 12th Street was reported at 12:36 a.m. Sunday. Officers found a 42-year-old woman lying near a large sandstone boulder with cuts to her upper chest and trauma to the left side of her head. She was taken to a hospital for treatment of her wounds, which were described as non-life-threatening.
A 20-year-old man was arrested and jailed in connection with the assault, Curry said.
