FARGO, N.D. — A former Bureau of Indian Affairs officer from North Dakota has pleaded not guilty to proving false information about a crash involving her police vehicle.

LaRon Greywater is facing three counts of making a false statement to a federal agency. She was indicted last week by a grand jury in Grand Forks. The federal indictment alleges Greywater ran a stop sign on the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation last September and caused a collision. Court documents say Greywater told federal investigators her vehicle's brakes malfunctioned, when in fact she knew that wasn't the case.
