A Billings man who crashed into a bowling alley while driving drunk was sentenced Friday in District Court.
Michael James Mattheis, 41, was ordered to serve 13 months in state custody, followed by three years probation, for his fourth DUI conviction.
Judge Mary Jane Knisely also ordered Mattheis to pay a $1,000 for the felony offense, and she recommended him for a state alcohol treatment program.
Mattheis apologized before he was sentenced. A misdemeanor charge of driving without a valid license was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
Mattheis was charged after he was found passed out in a vehicle that had crashed into the south wall of Sunset Bowl on Central Avenue.
Mattheis has prior misdemeanor DUI convictions in 2009, and two in 2011.
