A woman was taken to the hospital Saturday night after the car she was driving crashed into a roundabout on the West End.
Billings Police Sgt. Ronda Fox said the 38-year-old woman, whose name has not been released, was driving a Dodge Stratus eastbound on King Avenue West when, near the intersection with Olympic Boulevard, the car hit a center divider just west of a roundabout at the intersection.
The Dodge then hit the west side of the roundabout, jumped onto a raised section of landscaping about three feet of the ground, Fox said. It then fell off the landscaping on the north side and came to a rest on its wheels.
A witness told police that the car was speeding when the crash happened. Fox said alcohol appears to have been involved.
The woman was in and out of consciousness while emergency responders checked on her, Fox said.
The driver was taken by ambulance to St. Vincent Healthcare with injuries that did not appear to be life threatening, Fox said.
The Billings Police Department, the Yellowstone County Sheriff's Office, the Billings Fire Department and American Medical Response were on scene.
