A 16-year-old girl is being accused of driving under the influence after her car collided head-on with another car on Highway 3 on Tuesday morning.
Billings Police Lt. Kevin Iffland said Shania Curley is accused of driving under the influence, having no insurance and no driver's license.
According to police, Curley was headed westbound on Highway 3 driving a 2001 Mercury Sable near Rod and Gun Club Road at around 6 a.m.
Police say Curley's car crossed the center of the roadway and hit a 1996 Buick Regal head on, pushing it into a ditch on the south side of the highway.
The driver of the Buick, Barbara Lee, and her two passengers, 17-year-old and 15-year-old girls, were taken to St. Vincent Healthcare by a passerby. Curley was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Injuries were minor.
"It was very fortunate nobody got very seriously injured or killed in it," Iffland said. "They were pretty lucky, but both cars had extensive damage."
