Matt Wilhelm, the coordinator of the National Federation of Fly Fishers' education programs, will present a program on fishing the Yellowstone River from Livingston to Reed Point at the February meeting of the Billings Magic City Fly Fishers. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday.
The meeting will be held at the Billings Rod and Gun Club, beginning at 6:30 p.m. with social time. The program starts at 7 with a fly-tying demonstration of Wilhelm's favorite Yellowstone River streamer, hopper and a mystery pattern. At 8, Wilhelm will switch to a slide show and discuss the river's best access points, aquatic insect life, the variety of fish species, and what flies to use during each season of the year.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
