Moonlight Basin skiers to race up and down

BIG SKY - Moonlight Basin will offer a twist on spring ski competitions in March. The Headwaters Spring Runoff race on March 19 will include a timed hike, a judged extreme skiing contest and a Super Giant Slalom race.

Top finishers of each leg will win $350. Second and third place finishers will win $250 and $150, respectively.

The overall men's and women's winners will each receive $1,000.

The field will be limited to the first 50 competitors. The entry fee is $75 for competitors who register before the close of business March 16. After that date, if space is available, the entry fee is $100. The fee includes lift tickets on March 18 and March 19.
