Each week, The Billings Gazette's Tempo page asks area teens for their thoughts on a particular topic.
This week's question: Where does your spending money come from? How much do you spend each week on average, and what do you spend it on?
RACHEL DAHL, 15
I get most of my money from babysitting or household chores from my parents.
I don't really spend most of my money weekly. I save it all. And, if I do spend it, I spend it on clothes or on volleyball or other friends' birthdays.
JACKIE JUNKERT, 17
My spending money comes from my job.
I work for Junkert Construction filing and stuff, and I usually just spend it on snack food or gas, and that's about 10 dollars a week.
SKY CAUFIELD, 15
I spend most of my money, basically, on getting to fair - my livestock like my sheep, my chickens, my goats and my ducks and everything.
I spend most of my money on their feed and pasture and also on stuff for me because I like to spoil myself, too.
And I get most of my income mainly from my market lambs and my goats that I sell and my horses. I break colts. I get most of my money from those.
ELLEN KUEHL, 14
Most of my spending money comes from doing chores around my farm, and usually I put my money in my bank account to save for it for college. But, if I do spend money, usually it's about $20 a week.
I can get around $100 a week for doing chores. What I normally spend it on is clothes or just fun teen stuff.
