Prom-dress swap coming

Prom time is coming soon.

This year the Junior League of Billings, along with its second-hand boutique, the Wise Penny at 2606 Montana Ave., is hosting a prom-dress exchange.

Young women can donate their clean, used dresses to the Wise Penny by Wednesday. Anyone who donates up to three dresses will receive Wise Penny Bucks to apply toward a new dress or other special-marked merchandise on the day of the sale, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 19.

Accessories such as shoes, purses, and jewelry are also needed as donations and will be available on the day of the swap. Junior League volunteers will act as personal shoppers to assist in finding sizes and coordinating accessories to create a complete outfit for the prom.

The Wise Penny is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays-Fridays and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturdays.

Proceeds from the swap benefit the Junior League of Billings, an organization of women dedicated to improving the lives of area youths and their family support systems.
