Billings First United Methodist Church recently announced The African Children’s Choir is returning to Billings for a performance at the church, located at 2800 Fourth Ave. N., at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 24.
The choir will also perform at the Veterans Memorial Civic Center in Red Lodge at 11 a.m. that day.
The African Children’s Choir is made up of some of the most vulnerable children in their countries. Many have lost one or both parents to poverty or disease. The choir helps these children break away from the everyday cycle of poverty and hopelessness, and raises awareness of the needs of destitute and orphaned children in Africa. The choir said its mission is to help Africa’s most vulnerable children today, so they can help Africa tomorrow.
Admission to the concerts is free, and tickets are not required. Free-will offerings will be taken at each performance. Donations support the choir’s programs for education, care, relief and development.
