Billings Federal Credit Union and Big Sky Federal Credit Union announced today that the merger between their two credit unions has been approved by the National Credit Union Administration.

According to a news release from Billings FCU, the membership of Big Sky FCU voted to merge with Billings FCU on Oct. 18. Operational integration will be completed by Feb. 1, 2019. The combined credit union will hold $158 million in assets and serve more than 10,000 members.

Tom Boos, president/CEO of Billings FCU, will continue to lead the combined organization.

With the completion of the merger, Billings FCU will have four locations in Billings.

Billings FCU was established in 1935 and provides financial services to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Yellowstone, Big Horn and Carbon counties.
