A woman whose car careened off of the Rimrocks on Saturday is recovering while the Billings Police Department continues to investigate the crash.
Chief Rich St. John said the Billings woman, 22, was stable as of Tuesday morning, three days after authorities found her unresponsive near where a car drove off of the Rims.
Further information on the woman's condition wasn't available, and she was not listed on the hospital's patient roster late Tuesday morning.
St. John said authorities are still looking into how the crash happened and whether it was a suicide attempt.
The crash happened when a Hyundai Elantra drove off the Rims near Swords Park and landed above Vuecrest Drive between North 17th and 18th streets.
The woman was the only person in the car and was thrown from it during the crash. Emergency responders found her and an ambulance took her to St. Vincent Healthcare.
