Cyclist on Rims

A cyclist rides along the Swords Park bike path on top of the Billings Rimrocks on Monday, September 25, 2017.

Billings TrailNet will hold its annual meeting and trail summit July 18 to inform the public on the proposed Skyline Trail, the Marathon Loop and other trail and bikeway projects.

The event is slated for 6 p.m. through 8 p.m. in the Royal Johnson Community Room at the Billings Public Library, 510 Broadway.

With federal funding for trail construction drying up, Billings TrailNet has been working with state and local governments to find new ways to fund trail development. Organization officials will explain some of those emerging options during the annual meeting.

In addition to Billings TrailNet’s presentation Wednesday, other organizations working toward trail and bikeway development, green spaces and active living will be represented at information tables inside the community room.

Light refreshments will be served beginning at 5:30 p.m.
