A man was taken to the hospital Friday evening after crashing his car into a West End business.
At about 5:20 p.m., a man was driving a 1975 Ford LTD on Grand Avenue, turned into the Radio Shack parking lot at 1903 Grand Ave. and drove the car into the front window of the store.
The man is in his 20s. His name has not been released.
He was taken by ambulance to the hospital to be treated for injuries to his face and head, Billings Police Lt. Jeremy House said.
A witness told police that it appeared that the man couldn't stop the vehicle.
No further details about why the wreck happened were immediately available. The Billings Police Department was investigating.
The man was initially unconscious after the wreck, but woke up before emergency crews arrived. No other injuries were reported.
A Radio Shack employee estimated that the crash caused about $25,000 of damage to the store. The crash broke out the front window and frames facing Grand Avenue and knocked over a concrete base and several displays at the front of the store.
About half of the car was resting in the store building. Shoppers continued to enter and leave the store.
The BPD, the Billings Fire Department and an AMR crew responded to the wreck.
