Local weather and emergency officials and amatuer radio operators will test Yellowstone County's emergency siren system Wednesday at 6 p.m.

There are 24 sirens throughout the county. They will all go off for one long alarm of several minutes during the scheduled test.

Yellowstone County Disaster and Emergency Services, the Yellowstone Radio Club and the National Weather Service conduct the tests twice a year to make sure the system is operating correctly.
