Overpass crash

Billings police and fire are on the scene of a crash on the 6th Avenue Overpass. The crash has closed down the eastbound lanes.

Eastbound traffic on the Laurel Road overpass was shut down Monday morning after a three-vehicle crash at about 9 a.m.

At least two people were taken to a local hospital, Billings Police Sgt. Harley Cagle said. The injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, he said.

A half-hour after the crash, traffic had backed up at the State Avenue off-ramp from Laurel Road, where eastbound traffic was being diverted.

Speaking shortly before 10 a.m., Cagle said he expected all lanes to reopen within a half hour.

The Billings Fire Department and local ambulances also responded to the crash.
