Crash involves parked car

Char Liggett thought she had the perfect parking spot on First Avenue North when she went to dinner at Jake's Tuesday. She changed her mind when her car was hit by two colliding vehicles.

Liggett's white Toyota Rav 4 was parked on First Avenue North when it was rammed from behind by two vehicles. Liggett and her friends teased her about the great parking spot when she sat down.

"(Usually) I never (get to) park out front," Liggett said.

The Ford and a Dodge Stratus apparently collided in the intersection of North 27th Street and First Avenue North then rammed into Liggett's Toyota.

Police were still investigating late Tuesday evening. No one was injured.

The Explorer had front-end damage. It was stopped against a sign and traffic light control box at the northwest corner by Jake's. Damage to the control box knocked out the traffic light at the intersection and police temporarily diverted westbound traffic at North 26th Street.

The Stratus came to stop pressed against Liggett's Toyota with its passenger side wheels on the curb.
