A 45-year-old Billings woman has been charged with endangering her 8-year-old son while driving drunk.
Dominique Jo Couturier was arraigned Friday in District Court on a felony charge of criminal endangerment and misdemeanor counts of DUI and driving without insurance.
Couturier pleaded not guilty to the charges. She was allowed to remain free pending trial on a $5,000 bond.

According to court records, Couturier was arrested Feb. 3 after a motorist reported a possible drunken driver on Lewis Avenue at about 11:50 a.m. An officer found the Pontiac Grand Am on Sixth Avenue North and said the driver swerved in traffic. The officer saw a child in the front seat and decided to stop the car.
The officer turned on the patrol car overhead lights, but the driver failed to stop and continued for about a block. The officer activated the siren, but the driver continued for some distance before stopping, court records state.
Couturier showed signs of intoxication and performed poorly on a field sobriety test, according to court records. She told the officer she was taking pain medications. She was arrested and agreed to allow a blood sample to be taken for testing, court records state.
