One person died after a single-vehicle crash early Sunday near Forsyth, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at 3:39 a.m., on Reservation Creek Road, west of Forsyth and between Interstate 94 and Old Highway 10, according to MHP.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, MHP Trooper Matthew Zellers said.

No information about the victim has been released. Rosebud County Coroner Frank Arb said the family has requested the victim's name be withheld until all family members can be notified. He declined to provide the victim's gender, age or residence.

According to the crash narrative provided by MHP, the victim's SUV is believed to have crashed at around 2:30 a.m. after it left the roadway when it encountered a right-hand curve.

The vehicle then caught fire, and was fully engulfed in flames officers arrived on scene, the narrative states. No one else was in the SUV at the time.
