The Yellowstone County Democratic Central Committee chose Jennifer Gross as its 11th-hour nominee for Montana Senate District 25 Thursday evening.
The group planned to convene and choose a candidate after the district's incumbent, Robyn Driscoll, was chosen to be appointed to the Yellowstone County Commission earlier this month.
The nomination meeting was held at the Teamster's Hall in Billings. Gross was nominated on the second ballot among five candidates, said Central Committee Chair Kelly McCarthy.
Gross was born and raised in Billings and is a graduate of Senior High and MSU Billings.
She is the manager of field operations for Planned Parenthood of Montana. She will face Republican nominee Donna Huston for the senate district, which encompasses south and central Billings.
