No one was injured when a house caught fire in Laurel shortly before midnight on Thursday.
Two engines and three support vehicles responded at 11:53 p.m. to 1313 E. Main St., said Laurel Fire Department Deputy Chief Corey McIlvain.

The fire was contained to the northwest corner of the house, but there was extensive heat and smoke damage, he said. Occupants of the residence were able to get out, he added.
The cause of the fire and a damage estimate have not yet been determined, but a fire marshal will be investigating on Friday, McIlvain said
