Harvest Community Foundation has received $200,000 toward building a community center and recreation complex in the Heights.

The nonprofit foundation received the money through a federal appropriation secured by Rep. Denny Rehberg, R-Mont. The money is from the 2007 Transportation, Treasury and Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Bill.

The foundation plans to build the $7 million complex, featuring an aquatic center, ball fields and community center with meeting rooms, on land near Harvest Church on West Wicks Lane. The foundation is a separate entity from the church.
