A woman found dead after being crushed by her car near Roundup has been identified as 67-year-old Sara Kusch.

She was discovered by the land's owner who lives on the property where she maintains a garden, said Musselshell County Sheriff Woodrow Weitzeil.

Her body was found uphill from her vehicle which rolled to the bottom of a ravine.

No witnesses were at the scene when the incident occurred, but investigators determined she was killed after she tried to get back into her car after it began to roll away.

She was unable to get back in the vehicle and was dragged about 100 feet from where the car was parked, he said.

Authorities responded at 3:37 p.m. Monday and she was pronounced dead on scene.

Kusch lived in Musselshell County but was listed as a Lavina resident, Weitzeil said.

Toxicology results have not returned from the crime lab yet, he said but an autopsy performed Wednesday made a preliminary determination that her death was caused by blunt force trauma.
