Power was restored in the First Interstate Bank tower at about 11 a.m. on Wednesday. NorthWestern Energy crews had to replace a transformer that was original to the building in 1985.
The outage was reported at 11 p.m. on Tuesday said Leonard Meyer, a maintenance worker for United Properties, which manages the building.
“We have alarms that go off,” to alert the company that power is out, Meyer said.
Employees were able to enter the building, one elevator was operational on emergency power, as was emergency lighting, but most of the power was off, Meyer said.
Water was not available above the third floor.
There are about 30 businesses in the building.
