Home damaged by fire An electrical fire caused minor damage to a home at 1803 Yellowstone Ave. early Sunday morning, said Deputy Billings Fire Marshal Ralph R. Freeman. The fire was spotted at 12:53 a.m.

Firefighters extinguished the fire, but not before it caused about $3,000 damage to the hallway and kitchen of the home, Freeman said. The house was insured and the fire has been ruled accidental.

Shepherd crash injures two Two people were injured Sunday night when their vehicles collided near Shepherd Sunday night, said a spokesman for the Montana Highway Patrol.

The crash happened shortly after 8 p.m. on Highway 87, about 12 miles north of Billings. A man and a woman were both taken to Deaconess Billings Clinic, the MHP spokesman said. As of presstime, the extent of their injuries were unknown, as was the factors leading to the crash.

The highway was briefly blocked by the incident, which remains under investigation.
