A man was hospitalized Monday night after allegedly pointing a bow and arrow at his former romantic partner and a man at their house on the 2300 block of Rimrock Road.
The suspect reportedly arrived at the home and began kicking the front door, according to a press release from Billings Police Department spokesman Lt. Neil Lawrence.
When the man and woman left the home, the suspect pointed the bow and arrow at them, but did not fire, Lawrence said. The suspect and the man then got in a fight that ended with the suspect being held until police arrived.
The suspect was treated at Billings Clinic for injuries and later released, according to police.
The suspect has not been arrested or charged, Lawrence said Tuesday, but the case has been sent to the Billings City Attorney's office as a possible partner or family member assault.
The altercation took place at 10:08 p.m., according the release.
Lawrence declined to specify whether the man was from the Billings area.
