Country icon Merle Haggard is heading back to Billings for a show at the Alberta Bair Theater on Thursday, Feb. 12.
Tickets are $46 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday at the ABT box office. Haggard sold out a show at the ABT in February, 2007.
Haggard is known for working class songs like "If We Make it Through December," "Fightin' Side of Me" and "Big City," which includes the line, "Turn me loose, set me free, somewhere in the middle of Montana."
Haggard, 71, has recorded with George Jones, Willie Nelson and Ray Price during his 50-plus years in the music business. His nine-piece band, The Strangers, includes a horn section and lap steel guitar, and is known for its dynamic stage performance.
