The Miners’ Colfax Medical Center’s Outreach Mobile Clinic will conduct two area clinics, providing pulmonary health screenings for active, former and retired miners.
The Miners’ Outreach Mobile Unit, with Dr. Ashkay Sood, will be at 601 E. Eighth Ave. N. (in the parking lot behind McDonald’s) in Columbus from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on May 14-15, and in the IGA parking lot in Roundup from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on May 17-18.
According to information from Critical Nurse Staffing, who will be on site with the mobile unit, town hall meetings are also scheduled, for discussion about the mobile pulmonary screenings, where to get pulmonary rehab and how it can help former mine workers. In Columbus, the meeting will take place at City Hall from 6 to 8 p.m. on May 13. In Roundup, the meeting will take place in the commons area at 117 Seventh Ave. from 6 to 8 p.m. on May 16.
Any active, former or retired miner wanting pulmonary health screening at one of the mobile clinics should schedule an appointment by calling 1-575-445-4512 or 1-575-445-4519. Walk-ins will also be seen, based on time availability.
