A packed house

Volunteers served a packed house on Sunday during Easter dinner at Montana Rescue Mission.

The Montana Rescue Mission is once again opening its doors to serve Easter dinner to the poor, homeless and homebound. The MRM will provide a full-course meal for those who have nowhere else to go on this special day, April 16.

The MRM seeks about 50 more volunteers to assist in meal prep on Saturday, April 15. On Easter, the organization needs volunteers for dining room set-up, delivery drivers and servers. To volunteer, call the MRM at 406-259-3800.

The traditional Easter dinner will be served in the dining room of the MRM Men’s shelter at 2822 Minnesota Ave. Chapel service will begin at noon. Seating for dinner will begin at 1 p.m. and will conclude at 3 p.m. The MRM expects to serve Easter dinner to more than 400 people.

In addition to the sit-down meals offered in the dining room, take-out meals will be prepared and delivered to shut-ins, those unable to travel to the MRM and Meals on Wheels recipients. Billings residents who are not in the Meals on Wheels program and in need of having an Easter meal delivered are encouraged to call the MRM through 5 p.m. April 14.
