President Barack Obama campaign volunteers and local Democrats were joyful and enthusiastic today, despite technical difficulties that interrupted live streaming video of Obama's presidential inauguration.
A group of about 55 supporters met this morning at the McCormick Café to watch the inauguration, filling one meeting room and spilling into another.
"I'm so excited that I'm just shaking," said Darcy Brown, an Obama supporter who managed the primary election office last spring. "Obama has brought the hope, the love and the yes-we-can. This has been a remarkable experience for me and I am so thankful to be alive at this moment in time."
The even was organized by Eran Thompson, a Billings community organizer who introduced Obama during one of his visits here and hosted Obama at his home to watch the beginning of the Democratic National Convention.
