Willow is the pet of the week from Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter.

Willow is a white-and-brown female rabbit available for adoption through Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter. The large, soft-haired bunny is well-socialized, enjoys playing with toys and loves to be held. The gentle rabbit is 2-5 years old.

Many other animals also await loving homes.

To adopt Willow for $15, contact YVAS by calling 294-7387 or visiting the shelter at 1735 Monad Road. Willow’s new owner will need to provide a cage.

YVAS is open from noon to 7 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday; and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The shelter is closed on Wednesday.

The organization needs donations of break-away cat collars, dog grooming clippers, gallon-size Ziplock-type bags, small cat blankets, large and extra-large coats for dogs and shaved Aspen wood bedding for Guinea pigs.

The shelter’s Angel Tree holds a wishlist for YVAS animals. To view it, go to the shelter during its normal business hours.

YVAS advises against buying a pet as a Christmas gift and offers gift certificates for holiday giving.
