Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine opens their doors for a media tour of the 138,000 square foot campus on Monday. A grand opening is planned for July with the first 80 students starting about that time. The campus is at Shiloh and Monad Roads. The university's anticipated economic impact through 2023 is expected to total approximately $78.6 million, provide 350 jobs, and add more than $1.2 million in taxes to communities in the region. Key features of the facility include modern architecture capitalizing on natural light, innovative technology, immersion room simulations, high-fidelity mannequins, hand-held ultrasound, group-based active learning spaces, and an expansive anatomy lab for both cadavers and virtual reality, the university says.
