Pryor resident Yolanda Christy Costa pleaded not guilty Tuesday to a federal indictment charging her with assault resulting in serious bodily injury.
The indictment alleges that Costa assaulted a person identified by the initials S.N.J. on July 19 near Pryor and caused serious injury. No other details about the alleged assault were available.
If convicted, Costa faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. U.S. Magistrate Judge Carolyn Ostby continued Costa's release until trial. The case will be heard by Chief U.S. District Judge Richard Cebull.
