Proposed paving projects on Shiloh Road and King Avenue East are open for public comment.
Both projects are tentatively scheduled for the summer of 2019, according to press releases from the Montana Department of Transportation.
One would seal and cover about half a mile of King Avenue East, starting near the county jail and ending at the road's intersection with Sugar Avenue.
The other project would conduct similar work on .69 miles of Shiloh Road, starting at the road's intersection with Wise Lane and ending at its intersection with Southeast Shiloh Road.
The goal of both projects is to "preserve and extend the life of the existing asphalt surfacing and to provide a safe roadway for the traveling public," according to the press releases.
The public can submit written comments on either project to the Montana Department of Transportation Billings office at P.O. Box 20437, Billings, MT 59104-0437, or online at: mdt.mt.gov/mdt/comment_form.shtml.
