Roundup Memorial Healthcare recently announced its purchase of three new pieces of equipment.

Through partnerships with the USDA Rural Development, Montana Coal Board, Signal Peak Community Foundation, and Roundup Memorial Healthcare Foundation, RMH will purchase a bone density scanner, portable ventilator and new electrocardiogram device.

The new EKG device will replace a device on loan from the Billings Clinic.

The bone density scanner and portable ventilator are the first of their kind at the hospital.

Currently, RMH does not have a bone density scanner and community members must go elsewhere for the service. The new scanner will be available to RMH patients by January 2019.

The new portable ventilator will resolve many problems with only means of previously assisting patients with breathing by the use of manual “Ambu” bags.

According to a news release from RMH, the project represents over $62,500 in equipment.
