A new elementary school roof will be considered for the first time and a wire communication tower will come back for reconsideration at a meeting tonight of the Business Committee of School District 2.
The committee will meet at 5:30 in Room 213 of Lincoln Education Center, 415 N. 30th St.
A project bid was let and two bids received to re-roof Poly Drive Elementary School. The bids came from General Contractors with the low bid of $374,381 and Fisher Construction with a bid of $404,323.
Committee members will be asked to forward a recommendation on the bid to the Board of Trustees.
The committee will also be asked to again consider a request by Tristar Communications to install a 180-foot wireless communication tower at Daylis Stadium. At the June meeting, committee members turned down the initial location proposed by Tristar at Daylis because it would reduce space used for sports practices.
Now Tristar and Activities Director Dave Williams have found a mutually acceptable location at Daylis, and the committee will be asked to recommend approval to the Board of Trustees.
