2 seriously hurt in West End collision
Dalin Kelley, left, gets a hug from his mother, Sonia Wiedrick, as he empties out his Mitsubishi Montero following an accident with a Honda Accord at the intersection of El Dorado Avenue and Plainview Street Friday evening.

A teenage girl was seriously injured Friday night in a two-vehicle collision on the West End.

Emergency crews responded at 8:18 p.m. to Eldorado Drive and South Plainview Street.

Witnesses said a 1990 Honda Civic was driving east on Eldorado Drive "at a very high rate of speed" when it failed to yield at the intersection and was struck by a northbound Mitsubishi Montero, Billings police Sgt. Scott Forshee said at the scene.

The Mitsubishi was not at fault.

A 15-year-old girl from the Honda was listed in serious condition at St. Vincent Healthcare, Forshee said. The driver, Tyler Christman, 20, of Bridger, was treated and released.

Police suspect alcohol was involved, and the wreck remains under investigation.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, Dalin Kelley, 21, of Billings, said the vehicle was given to him by his mother, Sonia Wiedrick, upon his return from Iraq, where he served with the 1st Armored Division.
